Icon/Brammo for 2013.
Not gonna lie, I like everything about last years bike better (see below). While I'm sure the new bodywork is more aerodynamic, efficient, etc to the overall goal, aside from paint it sure isn't pretty.

The whole "motorcycle deaths jumped 18% since repealing the helmet law" doesn't really mean anything though. Have a look at this visual...
See the trend? Repealing the law just made the ratio a little more even.
I wonder what the story is with the non helmeted dead guys was in years prior? Drunken idiots?

1989 FZR 600.
I just came across these in my photobucket.
This one one of those bikes I should have kept. I think I paid $250 for it, then promptly sold all of the fairings on eBay for around $500. I only put a few hundred miles on the thing before I passed it on to a buddy who needed a bike. Then he turned around and sold it for twice what I sold it to him for!
Oh well.
The future is now.
We had a gorgeous weekend here in Motown. I rode the Empulse around as much as the batteries let me.

Yamaha has been teasing this one for a few weeks, and finally debuted it today.
Meet the 2014 Star Bolt.
It's available in base and R-spec trim levels. The R has adjustable suspension, a fancy seat, and a gross tank stripe. If you're in the market, I suggest going with the base model to save $300 and avoid having to be stuck with the skid mark on the tank.
