Motorcycle As Art.

These are a few of the shots from the Michael Lichter "Motorcycles as Art" exhibit a the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis. A lot of rad art/photos on the walls too...

I wasn't able to make it to Born Free 4, so I was stoked to be able to see some of the fine machines that all of these fellas put so much time and energy into.  They weren't all BF bikes, but most were. I hope to see a lot of these (and more!) at the Brooklyn Invitational next month.

Upgrades.

The Trident I just picked up had some hella awkward buckhorn stance clip on riser bar dealios that caused instant wrist issues, so I ordered some superbike bars and found some risers in my overflow bin to install on the beast. I used the high tech method of marking the happy spot with the edge of a cd case and poking some holes with my fancy new drill bit. They turned out about perfect! Wayyyyyy more comfortable. I did some measuring after I found a tape measure and I couldn't have gotten much better had I used a real measuring device in the first place. #shadetree

Feature.

I got some love over on the Icon LIMITER blog today by the looks of it... Cool!

Speaking of Icon, their Fall 2012 Line-up drops tomorrow. While the Overlord suit I am wearing in the photo above has skulls, wizards, bright colors, and flames on it, they've gone in the total opposite direction with their recent 1000 line.  I got an advance mailing of the catalog, and I gotta say there's not much in there that I don't like.  Have a look tomorrow and see for yourself!

New addition to the family.

I came across a helluva nice '84 FXRS last weekend for a decent price and decided it was time to sell my 748 so I could join the FXR nation. I sold the Duc on Monday and made the call to seal the deal on the hog immediately. Well, I was on my way to put a deposit down on said cycle and rush hour traffic got the best of me. I came home instead and jumped on CL to see what had popped up. That's when I saw this beauty! I've wanted one for years, and this thing was for sale no more than a mile from my house. I hopped on the bike and made my way over to have a look, and within an hour I had it in my driveway. I love T300 Triumphs, and this thing is a welcome member to my collection. I could have bought two of these and a season worth of petrol for the price of the FXR. I'm a happy camper :)

Highs and Lows from SD.

I can almost guarantee the dude that owns this loves Nickelback, OCC, and Sons of Anarchy.

I've got a ton of shots from the Michael Lichter exhibit at the Buffalo Chip as well. I'll post some of those later on in the week.
